How to style the jacket – the corporate look

Jacket is one piece of clothing that is a must-have for everyone. It has been helping humanity since 1900 😂 . It could be styled either in the casual look or in the corporate look.

For today’s post, i chose to style it in the corporate look. I love this peach jacket so much! Got it from Eko (Lagos island). I like to do most my shopping in Eko cos there,  you will get varieties. This peach jacket is very affordable. Trust me when i say its affordable, it is! You do not need to break the bank inorder to look good or stylish

My lovely peach jacket was styled with a cream camisol, a white bead and a carton colour skirt and ofcourse my black open toe point heel shoe. You could choose to wear pant trouser instead of skirt, and it could be worn to office, seminar, conference and church (wore mine to church on sunday). And guess what? I made this skirtwhoop! I sew most of my clothes myself. Some of these pictures were taken in church ( i talked about my church  Here and  Here ) while some were taken in my sitting room at home. Enjoy!

I’d like to hear your jacket story.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sincerely yours,

Canonisation of blessed mother Teresa of Calcutta

Yayyyyy! Today the holy mother church canonised blessed mother teresa of calcutta and this has qualified her to join the lists of the catholic saints. I am a catholic and a proud one as that lol. I do tell people am a catholic not because i was born one but because i love being one. So today am excited that finally the holy mother church has declared blessed mother teresa of calcutta who lived an examplary life worthy of emulation a saint.

Mother Teresa was born Anjeze Gonxhe Biejaxhiu in Skopje Macedonia in August 26th 1910. She was a catholic nun and founded the missionaries of charity, a religious order in catholic. She lived most of her life in Calcutta in India hence her name mother Teresa of Calcutta. She was dedicated to the service of the poor and needy in her community. She died on the 5th of september 1997 at the age of 87. She was beatified on the 19th of october 2003 at St. Peter’s square by Pope John Paul II. Today 4th of september 2016 after almost 13years of beatification, she is canonised a saint of the catholic church by Pope Francis at St. Peter square, Vatican city Rome.

According to the priest today during the homily, he said it was a divine arrangement by God that Pope francis who takes the name of St. Francis has to be the one canonise blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. St. Francis of assisi lived a life of  total dedication to the service of the poor and needy just like Mother Teresa did.

As part of homily today by Pope Francis, He said “we will have difficulty calling her saint teresa………..she will remain mother teresa to many of us”.

St. Teresa of calcutta…………… pray for us!

Love begins at home, and its not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we doSt. Teresa of calcutta.

True love is giving and giving until it hurts. (where there is love, there is God) – St. Teresa of calcutta.

The poor gives much more than we give them. They are such strong people living day to day with no food. And they never curse, never complain. We don’t have have to give them pity or sympathy. We have so much to learn from them – St. Teresa of calcutta.

I got up early one morning,

And rushed right into the day;

I had so much to accomplish.

That i didnt have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me.

And heavier came each task.

“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered.

He answered “you didnt ask”.

I wanted to see joy and beauty,

But the day toiled on, gray and bleak;

I wondered why God didn’t show me,

He said, “but you didn’t seek”

I tried to come into God’s presence.

I used all my keys at the lock,

God gently and lovingly chided,

“My child, you didn’t knock”.

I woke up early this morning,

And paused before entering the day;

I had so much to accomplish.

That i had to take time to pray.

Prayer is not asking, prayer is putting one self in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our heartsMother Teresa

We have to pray with our eyes on God not on our difficulties.
