Yayyyyy! Today the holy mother church canonised blessed mother teresa of calcutta and this has qualified her to join the lists of the catholic saints. I am a catholic and a proud one as that lol. I do tell people am a catholic not because i was born one but because i love being one. So today am excited that finally the holy mother church has declared blessed mother teresa of calcutta who lived an examplary life worthy of emulation a saint.
Mother Teresa was born Anjeze Gonxhe Biejaxhiu in Skopje Macedonia in August 26th 1910. She was a catholic nun and founded the missionaries of charity, a religious order in catholic. She lived most of her life in Calcutta in India hence her name mother Teresa of Calcutta. She was dedicated to the service of the poor and needy in her community. She died on the 5th of september 1997 at the age of 87. She was beatified on the 19th of october 2003 at St. Peter’s square by Pope John Paul II. Today 4th of september 2016 after almost 13years of beatification, she is canonised a saint of the catholic church by Pope Francis at St. Peter square, Vatican city Rome.
According to the priest today during the homily, he said it was a divine arrangement by God that Pope francis who takes the name of St. Francis has to be the one canonise blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. St. Francis of assisi lived a life of total dedication to the service of the poor and needy just like Mother Teresa did.
As part of homily today by Pope Francis, He said “we will have difficulty calling her saint teresa………..she will remain mother teresa to many of us”.

Love begins at home, and its not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we do – St. Teresa of calcutta.
True love is giving and giving until it hurts. (where there is love, there is God) – St. Teresa of calcutta.
The poor gives much more than we give them. They are such strong people living day to day with no food. And they never curse, never complain. We don’t have have to give them pity or sympathy. We have so much to learn from them – St. Teresa of calcutta.
